HELLOOOOO!
My name is Emily, my friends call me Em, and THIS is the tales of em kat!
I am originally from Wawa, Ontario (Canada) but have been an international teacher for the past 11 years! I have been fortunate to live and work in Cairo, Ho Chi Minh City, and Kuwait. And for very different reasons, I have loved and am thankful for all of these experiences. This is my 7th school year in Kuwait and I feel blessed to be living in working in this awesome country and for the ability to travel and see this wonderful world of ours!
I have been an elementary school teacher for 12 years but for the last two years I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to try out my DREAM JOB as an elementary school librarian! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, sharing my passion for reading with all of my students and seeing them enjoy a book as much as I do!
When I’m not at school, I can often be found reading OR working with my bestie on our little business The Glue. We design super cute and trendy coffee mugs with the mission of keeping people together. We think that sitting down with someone over a cup of coffee or tea to bond, really IS the GLUE that keeps us together!
I am also passionate (read: CRAZY) about CATS! A proud crazy cat lady and cat-mom to Loomi and Auggie…and Cowboy my Vietnamese kitty who has been happily residing in Canada with his grand-parents for most of his life! You can be sure that they will make frequent appearances on the blog!! I also love all things cat-related and am proud to say that I am known for this LOVE of felines.
